OUR MISSION
Growing together, educating Golf Courses about their trees as well as educating arborists about the needs and trees of and on Golf Courses. Trees on golf courses play a valuable role in playability, liability, functionality, and being visually stimulating to the members and guest that play a course. Many times trees are taken for granted, maintenance put to the side because we all know that on courses, turf usually takes precedence. Our Main Goal is to restore the importance of TREES on golf courses, to help Golf professionals find a balance between the turf, landscape and trees, by putting them together with qualified professional Certified Arborist with a SOGCA Accreditation that can help them achieve this.

WHY HIRE AN ARBORIST?

An arborist is a specialist in the care of individual trees. Arborists are knowledgeable about the needs of trees and are trained and equipped to provide proper care. Hiring an arborist is a decision that should not be taken lightly. Proper tree care is an investment that can lead to substantial returns. Well-cared-for trees are attractive and can add considerable value to your property. Poorly maintained trees can be a significant liability. Pruning or removing trees, especially large trees, can be dangerous work. Tree work should be done only by those trained and equipped to work safely in trees.(ISA)

In addition, with SOGCA Training, the arborist would be knowledgeable in Golf Course operations, techniques that would be preferable for golf courses & low impact methods. While working with superintendents, they would be able to help build sustainability in the trees and allowing them to co-exist with turf while maintaining their health. The benefits of a SOGCA trained and accredited company would far out weigh the cost of improper tree work performed by a company that is not familiar with course etiquette.
